This is one of my favorite character development prompts!
Write down ten characters and number them. (NOTE! don't look at the questions below until you've numbered!) If you don't have ten characters in your story yet use characters from your favorite books, movies, or what ever! (it's actually funnier if you mix characters form different books!)

-9 tries to get 5 to go to a strip club.


-You need to stay at a friend's house for a night. Who do you choose, 1 or 6?


-2 and 7 are making out. 10 walks in. What is their reaction?


-3 falls in love with 6. 8 is jealous. What happens?


-4 jumps you in a dark alley. Who comes to your rescue: 10, 2, or 7?


-1 decides to start a cooking show. 15 minutes later, what's happening?


-3 has to marry either 4, 8, or 9. Who do they choose?


-7 kidnaps 2 and demands something from 5 for 2's release. What is it?


-Everyone gangs up on 3. Does 3 have a chance in hell?

-Everyone is invited to 2 and 10's wedding except for 8. How do they react?


-Why is 6 afraid of 7?

-1 arrives late for 2 and 10's wedding. What happens and why were they late?


-5 and 9 get roaring drunk and end up at your house. What happens?


-9 murder's 2's best friend. What does 2 do to get back at them?


-6 and 1 are in mortal danger. Only one of them can survive. Does 6 save themselves or 1?


-8 and 3 go camping. They forgot to bring food. What do they do?


-5 is in a car crash and is critically injured. What does 9 do?

Prompt #8

Here's a nice one if you just need a little kick start to get thous ideas going.

Write a story in under 1000 words that involves: a cat, a mustache, burnt toast, and a house boat.

(I'm running out of ideas for good prompts so I might have a lot more like this.)

Okay so this prompt I am compleatly makeing up on the spot.

After keeping a dream journal for a year(or more) you realize something strange. All of your dreams are coming to life but it's only in capital cities around the world! (either state and/or country) Realizing this you notes that the next one on your list is a horrible apocalyptic disaster!
Now you have to find out where it is and stop it before every one is killed!

So, I'm betting you all know the story of The Hunchback of Notre Dame in one form or another. So the idea for the original book was when the author (Victor Hugo) took a trip to Notre Dame cathedral and went into the bell tower. There he saw a single word carved into the stone "Fate".
Now I want you to write what kind of story comes to mind if you where to see that word carved into the stone in that bell tower.

Okay so here's my first prompt for here.

Your ship has run ashore on a remote island. You do not speak there language and they don't speak yours. You must come up with a way to ask for something to fix your ship so you can get home. How do you do it? Write the seen.
